OpenStudy (mstv1112):

How are living conditions in the twenty-first century different than conditions in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries? How have the technological changes of the Information Age transformed modern society? Which technologies have been pivotal in the development of the Information Age? To what extent did the Industrial Revolution create the foundation for modern technologies?

OpenStudy (mstv1112):

I just need some examples for each.

The technological changes of the Information Age have transformed modern society in many ways. First of all, technologies such as cellphones have a huge impact on daily life. People use cellphones multiple times per day to call people and they expect cellphones to be there when they need them. Texting is a large part of a cellphone's uses and a big part of modern day culture that would not have been introduced if not for cellphones. Nowadays, cellphones have other uses than just communication, they can feature wireless internet, music, maps, calendars, clocks, games, cameras and more. People are constantly relying on these things to be there to check the time, to take a quick picture of someone, or to see what they have going on this week.
