Really, Roosevelt won because he didn't like Taft, and launched a campaign against him that would prove successful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure if that can translate to the Republican party NOT liking their candidate (Taft) and therefore voting for Roosevelt...or if the correct answer is merely that voters wanted someone different, like Roosevelt.
