Mathematics 20 Online

How can you solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable, including equations with coefficients represented by letters?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hi

OpenStudy (misty1212):

i have seen questions from the likes of FLVS like "solve for \(x\): \( ax+b<c\) " they are seriously making a mistake since a variable is a variable, and therefore can be positive or negative, you cannot solve an inequality with variable coefficients. you don't know whether to change the inequality or not

idk im taking online algerbra for highschool classes next year and it n my module

OpenStudy (misty1212):

yeah write them and tell they since they do not understand what a variable is, they have no business teaching math and should go back to social studies or whatever their major was

OpenStudy (misty1212):

if you like i will be happy to write them for you tell me the system (my guess is FLVS but i could be wrong) and the question id i am quite serious about this, i am eager to find out why they let such poorly educated people teach math it is not PhD level math they do no know, it is elementary algebra
