MEDAL AND FAN!!!!!!! What is the area of the figure? http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1562000_1562500/1562223/1/1c9ae86787580f80328f08e4e3e03042ae7ef717/MS_IMB-1401012-1100501.jpg

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

well area means to multiply the outer sides to get the whole measure meant of the shape so..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

so just multiply all ends :}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you still need help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 3 times 4 times 6 = answer

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

i believe so.. unless im mistaken:}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Base 1 + Base 2 divided by 2 multiplied by hieght

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 3+4times 2 divided by 6

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

pretty much :}

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

You first need to know the area of the individual shapes, You can see that there is a triangle and a rectangle. Let's find the area of the triangle first. The area formula for a triangle is \[b \times \frac{ 1 }{ 2 } h\] or you could just multiply the base times the height and then divide everything by 2. So you will need to multiply 3x6. What is that @lordoftanks
