OpenStudy (yolo_king):

The equation of line CD is (y-3) = - 2 (x - 4). What is the slope of a line perpendicular to line CD?

OpenStudy (yolo_king):

My choices are A) 2 B) 1/2 C) -2 D) -1/2

OpenStudy (yolo_king):

I believe the answer is -2.

OpenStudy (yolo_king):

Because I found the equation y =1/2x perpendicular to equation CD but I don't understand what the slope would be would it be 1/2?

OpenStudy (yolo_king):

I think its either 1/2 or -2 but not sure which one of the two.
