Determine which relation is a function. {(−4, 3), (−2, 3), (−1, 2), (2, 5), (3, 2)} {(−4, 1), (−2, 3), (−2, 1), (−1, 5), (3, 2)} {(−4, 1), (−2, 3), (−1, 2), (3, 5), (3, 2)} {(−4, 1), (−2, 3), (−1, 1), (−1, 5), (3, 2)}

OpenStudy (kl0723):

you can determine this by looking at the x-values and seeing if there are any repeated ones, if they repeat is not a function. In other words, one element of x can be only related to one element of y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A?

OpenStudy (kl0723):

that's correct in every other relation you have one element of x to multiple elements of y :)
