OpenStudy (winsteria):

Dora can run 3/5 mi in 3/20 h. How far can she run in 1 h?

OpenStudy (winsteria):

@KamiBug Do you know?

OpenStudy (cakemeister):

How many 3/20 of an hour would be equivalent to one hour?

OpenStudy (winsteria):

I don't know @cakemeister

OpenStudy (cakemeister):

Well, 3/20 is equal to 15%. Do you know how to change the percent to a decimal to get the hour??

OpenStudy (winsteria):

Can you explain to me how? This is new to me so @cakemeister

OpenStudy (cakemeister):

Okay well to change a percent into a decimal, you divide by 100. 15/100=.15 I feel so bad saying this, but are you using a calculator? or I can show you using regular paper

OpenStudy (winsteria):

I have a calculator @cakemeister

OpenStudy (cakemeister):

okay so multiply .15 by the amount of minutes in an hour

OpenStudy (winsteria):

9

OpenStudy (cakemeister):

so Dora can run 3/5 of a mi. in 9 minutes.

OpenStudy (winsteria):

It's easy yay thank you

OpenStudy (cakemeister):

You are very welcome and thank you for the medal!
