what do i do then
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so ihave to find r and w
OpenStudy (perl):
right
OpenStudy (perl):
let
r = speed of traveler off the walkway (or speed of traveler on still walkway)
w = speed of walkway itself
r - w= 2
r + w = 6

you can add the two equations
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so 6+2 would equal 8 which would be the guy walking on the runway
OpenStudy (perl):
if you add the two equations you would get
2r = 8
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so r would be 2 and the i would multiply 2 by to get 16 which would be him walking of the runway
OpenStudy (perl):
2r = 8
divide both sides by 2
r = 4
