A drawing of a garden uses a scale of 1 in : 3 ft. Find the length of the garden if the length of the drawing is 13 inches. (So the length of the garden would be 39ft?)

Use proportion. So, 1 in over 3 ft = 13 inch over x. Cross multiply the fractions and set them equal, x =39.

So 39 is correct? That was my answer I was thinking :)
