Whats the best place to start for someone who wants to learn how to code but doesn't know anything about coding?

OpenStudy (rsmith6559):

I recommend Stanford's CS106A ProgrammingMethodology. http://see.stanford.edu . Click on the Courses button.

Pick a language to start with.. probably easiest to start with python - though I started with java and taught myself from the ground up using a textbook which teaches from the standpoint that the student is a beginner. I'd highly recommend grabbing a textbook for beginners on whatever language you want to start with; those are the best resources I've found. Both amazon and barned & noble are good places to pick up textbooks.
