I think you are right. The only other answer I would "maybe" it with is A. Lexington and concord. But I think they just began the revolutionary war. What really drove the continental congress to solidly declare independence was when King George refused their letters pleading for peaceful understanding and restoration of the rights of the colonized citizens.
