Hi. I'd like to learn python to write code for my 3d app of use. Is this course right for me?
It's a starting programming course that's, IMO, a little heavy on the math. I just gave one of my Maya people "Think Like a Computer Scientist" from http://interactivepython.org . You can get "Practical Maya Programming with Python" for $5, and a lot of spam. This book is geared more towards artists learning to use Python with Maya. It doesn't teach Python or generic programming.
Thank you rsmith6559. I´ll head over to that python course. I listened to the entire lecture, I found it very much understandable in terms of reasoning the problem and then make up a code for solution. I´m a softimage user, looking to go into python. :) for ICE and rigging purposes.
I wish you luck.
