(I even saw a "congrats on getting to yellow" the other day)

That's what I meant though. After congratulating someone, they will make another post just to get a medal (attention) and I noticed that everyday there is a congratulatory post. I understand about the 99SS but not other SS

Congratulation posts are actually considered spam...
But we do tolerate them for a day, for a few occasions:

- achieving a smartscore of 99
- a user's birthday
- some kind of holiday
- special achievement (like getting an award for something school related)

Another rule
- Only 1 post per user, the rest can congratulate the user in that post, no need to create a separate one.

So 3 different posts congratulating someone for getting a smartscore of 75 do not qualify.

ambassadors handle the facebook *avoids eye contact*
and the rankings do not show that such posts get good feedback so we might stop it and only post the more important ones
cuz if we spam people's feeds like that everyday, people might unlike openstudy to avoid the spam ;-;

I guess, Thomaster has caught an important point in his sarcasm! Too much congratulation posts on small achievements like 80 SS, turning green (90 SS) etc. doesn't suit much on OS Feedback group and also not on Facebook Page of OpenStudy. Though, FB page of OpenStudy has a lot frequent posts now, which was much required in order to keep it going, so, as in order to give it a start, it's good but I'm happy that @sleepyhead314 has got the point for posting only important achievements on FB page.

If you want to congratulate on someone reaching a SS of X, why don't you just send a private message that user? Everyone can see your SS, and you don't need to tell the world that someone has got a SS of X, well, except when you beat satellite73!
