How did India and Pakistan differ in terms of achieving independence?

A India was a mostly Hindu state; Pakistan was a mostly Muslim state.
B India won independence from Britain, and Pakistan from Italy.
C India won independence before World War II, and Pakistan after the war .
D India achieved full independence; Pakistan remained an occupied colony.

In all honesty A is correct yet it says nothing about independence...
B wrong cuz they both won their independence from Britain..
C is wrong cuz they won their independence after WW1
D is wrong cuz they both received full independence.
