Which is an example of how latent evidence can be used to solve a crime? A hidden fingerprint on a murder weapon did not match that of the suspect. Clearly visible fingerprints on a knife are matched to a suspect. A forensic scientist concludes that tiny hairs found on a murder victim were not those of a suspect, but rather those of a dachshund. The coagulation of blood near a victim indicates that death occurred two hours prior to discovery, when a suspect was reported at work.

Well what do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Latent Definition: "Capable of being but not yet in existence evidence. Latent evidence is evidence at a crime scene that cannot be seen with the eyes. Examples might be a bloos stain that was bleached out, or semen stains that can't be seen without special lighting, or a fingerprint on an oneven surface, such as a tree." Now which one do you think it is @cuteandcreepy1 ?
