The Pueblos had less sophisticated weapons than the Spaniards. 3. The Spaniards brought in additional troops from Spain to outnumber the Pueblos. 4. The Spaniards gained the support of the Pueblos who had converted to Christianity. 5. The Pueblos were weakened by drought and conflict with other tribes.
