What moment contains the climax of "To Build a Fire"? A. The man's spit freezes before it hits the ground. B. The man's dog grows fearful of him. C. The man's tiny fire dies in the snow. D. The man's partners find his body on the trail. I went on Shmoop.com and it said that the climax was when the man looked to the dog to kill him and warm his hands in its guts, but that isn't one of my answers. :(

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

I did this. I know that the answer is when the man dies in the freezing cold, so maybe you could find something close to that (I did it for k12)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm ... I went with C. but now that you said that, I am not sure. Which one would you pick?

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

I would go with C too and see if it works :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay! Thanks for your suggestions! I will go with C. and let you know if it is correct when I finish answering the rest of the questions. :)

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

Alright :)
