the freemasons were a group of people who studied the ancient mysteries. they initiated people by giving them an official invitation or the hand of mysteries. the masons have several myths and stories surrounding them like that of the masonic pyramid. it is said that the masons hid a great treasure in a hidden pyramid that was tall enough for god to reach down and touch the top of it. metaphorically speaking, the myth meant that man could reach down and touch it because god is within us all.
