Help please! I'll give a medal! Solve the system of equations by substitution. What is the solution for x? 2x + y = 1 4x + 2y = -1 x=0 x=2 There is no x value, as there is no solution. x can be any value, as there is an infinite number of solutions.

the answer would have 0.000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to be infinite amount without using any other number

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

here is a little help 2x + y = 1 in slope intercept for its y = -2x + 1 4x + 2y = -1 in slope intercept form its y = -2x - 1/2 what do you notice about the 2 lines..?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Hint: Same slope lines fail to intersect..
