-x + 6 = 7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's a couple of ways to go about this. Let's try one of them: Add x to the other side to get: 6 = 7+x Then subtract 7 from both sides to get x on its own. Then you have your answer.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

-6 from both sides and then divide the negative out on both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so after you do all the step it would be x=1

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

subtract 6 on both sides -x=1 and then divide by the negative you should get x = -1

plug it back in..negatives cancel
