Graph the inequality y > 3/4x –1/2 using the graphing tool. Which is a solution to the system? (-2,-5) (-1,7) (1,-7) (-5,-5)

You could graph the inequality. You could also just test the points given in the options.

For example: (-2,-5). Note that x = -2 and y = -5. y > 3/4x –1/2 -5 > (3/4) * (-2) - 1/2 ? Yes or No. If Yes, then the point is a solution. If no, then the point is not a solution. Then, you move on to test point (-1,7) in the same way.
