I have a trig equation which is 2cos(2x+pi/2)=-sqrt2 I have solved the equation, however x has to be an element [-pi,pi], so i have the positive solutions for one of the negative I get -7pi/8, can this be simplified or have I done something wrong?

Well.. Sorry got the same thing.. wolfram also gives it ugly: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=2cos%282x%2Bpi%2F2%29%3D-sqrt2%2C+-pi%3Cx%3Cpi =S

so is that what I put for my solutions?
