the day that changed me

A warm summer day the sun was shining down on your wet skin u just got out of the pool
the nest thing i hear is two shots bang , bang
i drop to the pool deck placed my hands on my head and laid there for a while
A dark figured held out his hand and pulled me to my feet. I said to him " why are u helping me " i got no answer
he grabs my towel off of the ladder on the side of the pool
places it around me I start to cry i couldn't hold back anymore
i hug me so tight
he called me by a name only one 1 person knew . i smiled while the tears ran down my face. He wiped my tears with his warm hands.
I suddenly kissed him with even thinking
i opened my eyes and looked right into his
he took my hand rang my door bell
my father answered the door
he knew what was about to happen
he called my mother to the door, she had her phone in hand
i said to them both " what is going on ?"
he got on one knee and asked me
i said yes
my mom said in a kind voice when she talks to u or even sees your picture she just smiles and smiles and u can't get her to stop
she has thought of u every single day since y'all stopped talking it was killing her
she slipped into depression more and more everyday
i know at that time we were only young kids and i knew that u were my forever love and no one would take your place even if they tried i would not let them in bc i was saving my heart for the one i really loved and i wasn't sure if u felt the same way. so i was hiding my feelings behind a dark door only u could bring them out
i loved your every single forever and ever no one will take those feelings away
i kept strong after you said to let go i didn't listen to u
Later that same day a truck pulled up in my drive way
it was alert and desi with their baby emma mae
she gave her my middle name i was so happy to see her i was in tears
i ran to desi after she got out of the truck i invited them inside and we had so tea and we caught up on life while they were there so i called for love
he comes in the room and sees we have people here i said to him this is albert and esi and their baby girl emma mae
and he said how are u
and he sat and talked for a while and it was about 8:30 pm and they packed up emma stuff and let but before they walked out i asked them if they would be happy to come to my wedding and they sai we will be there and desi asked me a question and i said i would love tobe emma mae's god mother i huged desi and alert good bye and they drove to where they were staying and locked the door and turned out the lights and went to bed. i love you all
