will medal and fan Evaluate the expression, using the given value of the variable. 8 ÷ 2 – 48 + 3(8 – 3) when z = 8 -17 -13 -7 -1

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

Can u rewrite the eqn with 8 instead of z ?

I edited it

I'm using my phone so I can't use the white board but I'll do the work and take a snapshot and upload it is that fine with u?

i'm gonna say use order of operations so you have to evaluate whats in the parenthesis. 8-3=5 then times it by 3 thats 15. so you now have this \[8\div2-48+15\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

next in the order is division or multiplication. in this case division obviously \[8\div2=4\] \[4-48+15\] Can you solve it now that there is only addition and subtraction left?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea just give me a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

did you get it?
