I need help! A box has 1 red marble, 3 blue marbles, and 4 green marbles. Maya draws a blue marble randomly from the box, replaces it, and then draws another marble randomly. What is the probability of drawing 2 blue marbles in a row?

OpenStudy (spyro517):

any answer choices? or is it just a solve type problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No answer choices

OpenStudy (spyro517):

ok, what do you think it is? its out of 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For some reason I keep thinking its 3/8 * 2/7

OpenStudy (spyro517):

I think its 2/8 since it said she replaced the blue marble so she has 8 again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You think?

OpenStudy (spyro517):

It also doesnt specify what color marble she replaced the first blue marble with so thats how I got 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay

OpenStudy (spyro517):

Just remember to pay attention to what it says.It will be easier to identify what is happening.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thank you!

OpenStudy (spyro517):
