you got \(30\) and \(D\) and \(80^\circ\) you need an expression that combines them you do not need the hypotenuse of that right triangle, just the two legs

use "tangent is opposite over adjacent" the side opposite the \(80^\circ\) angle is \(D\) and the adjacent sides is \(30\)

that makes \[\tan(80^\circ)=\frac{D}{30}\]
