@shaylapatricia Any guess? I know exactly what it is. I am a Mycologist afterall. You will find something like this on your bread if you leave it out for way too long.

@shaylapatricia That is the asexual reproduction structure of either a Rhizopus spp. (black bread mold) or a Mucor spp. Most likely a Rhizopus species. You can see all the small spores that have been released. Search for either species online and you will see very similar structures.
