You are playing paintball with a friend who is standing 25m away from you. You shoot at her and miss. The paintball has a horizontal velocity of 150m per second. Which of the following sequences describes the distance of the ball from you (in meters) at the intervals of one-tenth of a second, starting when it swooshes by her? A. 150,300,450,600,750.... B. 15,25,35,45,55.... C. 25,40,55,70,85.... D. 15,30,45,60,75.... E. 25,175,325,475,625...

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

when it passes by her its 25 meters form you from its speed you can now work out the rest of the sequence

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

how far does the ball travel in one tenth of a second?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What equation would i use?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it E?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It was C

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

you need to find how far the ball travels in one tenth of a second and add this to 25 etc

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

C is correct because the ball travels at 15 m every 1/10 of a second

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

if it travels at 150 m / sec that is 150/10 = 15 m / 1/10 sec
