Which sequence of transformations will change figure PQRS to figure P′Q′R′S′? (5 points) Counterclockwise rotation about the origin by 90 degrees followed by reflection about the x-axis Counterclockwise rotation about the origin by 180 degrees followed by reflection about the x-axis Counterclockwise rotation about the origin by 180 degrees followed by reflection about the y-axis Counterclockwise rotation about the origin by 90 degrees followed by reflection about the y-axis

@Godlovesme can u help me with this one ???

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

let me see...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

yw i can help with this :)

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

pick any point in the figure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

q

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

that was the one i practiced with omg :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

psychic xD lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe i am lol jkjk

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

O.O lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what do we do with q

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it C but nt sure

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

it is reflection over y-axis but not sure if it's C or D :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is because wait for it ................

@Nnesha @sleepyjess @dtan5457

Every 90 degree rotation I believe moves the figure to one quadrant. So if you counterclockwise that figure by 180 degrees, it will already be in the position of the transformation. However none of the answer choices has that. So I believe it's C, because if you make a 90 degree rotation, it will be the 3rd quadrant. Then a reflection over the y axis will have it's final transformation.

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is C!
