Your car's fuel efficiency is e = 35 miles per gallon. The fuel pump pulls fuel from the tank at a speed v equal to the speed of the car itself. The fuel is pulled through a hose with cross-sectional area A. What is the cross-sectional area of the scoop in square inches? What is it in square millimeters? (1 gallon = 231 in3.) How to find the answers in: in^2? mm^2? I have no idea how to start on this problem.
