Smooth endoplasmic reticulum or SER is concerned with glycogen and lipid metabolism while Rough endoplasmic reticulum or RER is concerned with protein synthesis. Which cell would require large amount of glycogen metabolism to work? HINT: The one which is engaged in extensive work like running, walking etc.
