How do you use ethos to start a quote when the source of the quote does not have page numbers? What should I put in place of the *** below? "According to , (***). Also, would you keep the period after the "V"? "...." ("Debs, Eugene V.").

OpenStudy (kohai):

You should have the last name of the person who said it if you don't have page numbers, so you can still reference who said what

OpenStudy (kohai):

Purdue OWL is helpful with this stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I looked on Purdue OWL but I couldn't find this specifically D: Would you just put the article title in the parenthesis then?

OpenStudy (kohai):

It looks like if you don't have a page number, you will cite it as (Author, Book Title/Article/etc) This is also helpful http://content.easybib.com/citation-guides/mla-format/how-to-cite-a-parenthetical-citations-mla/

OpenStudy (kohai):

Does this help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup thank you :D
