put the light bulbs in order of which one is going to stay on longer, see picture
Didn't see any light bulbs, but did see the RC circuits. Now assuming the RC time constant is controlling the invisible light bulbs, then the one with the longest RC time constant is C (2RC), the shortest one is D RC/4 and the middle, both being the same RC time constant is A & E both being the same RC.
capacitance in series causes the net capacitance to go down and resistors in series causes the net resistance to come up.. if this is the principle used i guess the the maximum time constant can be for option c) as the capacitance are added together to give the total value as 2C and time constant as 2CR.the shortest time would be for d) this is because c cap in series gives C/2 and 2 resistors in parallel give R/2 and thus time constant would be RC/4
the order would be c-a/e-b-d
