What was the main purpose of the GI Bill? to provide soldiers with adequate combat training before going to Europe to shift US industry more quickly to the manufacturing of wartime equipment to train women how to operate factory machinery during World War II to help US veterans of the war reintegrate into US society

The GI Bill provided many subsidies for veterans. Money for education was one of the most important. This was part of the effort to smooth the abrupt change to a postwar economy by improving the job skills (and therefore the incomes) of returning veterans. So the answer would be to help veterans reintegrate into US society:)
