Plz Help & Thank You =) Which algebraic expression is equivalent to the expression below? (5x + 10) + 9x A.24x B.15x + 9 C.-4x + 10 D.14x + 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x + 10 + 9x We just add 5x + 9x, what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x + 9x is the same thing as 5 + 9 but we add an 'x' at the end. So what's 5 + 9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, that gives us 14x, then we leave the 10 there, so we have: 14x + 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought your supposed to do parenthesis first :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

brb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but we cannot do the parenthesis because we cannot add 5x + 10, so we just distribute '1' into the parentheses which removes the parenthessis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*parenthesis
