During the 1920s more than a million blacks moved from the farms of the South to the cities of the North. Which was not a reason for this migration?

What are the options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. They expected to find better jobs. B. They were looking for an opportunity to get ahead. C. They hoped to find better schools for their children. D. They found social and economic equality with northern whites

I would go with D. But I am not sure how they moved to the North anyway. The North abolished slavery, they did not practice it.

Oh ok thanks! =D
