You have to break the huge polygon into 3 figures and find the area of all 3 and them add them all together to get the total area :)

Oops my bad. You break up that huge figure into 2 parts. One is a traingle and the other a parrallogram

Area of triangle: \(A_t = \dfrac{1}{2}bh\)

Area of parallelogram: \(A_p = bh\)
