A soil scientist conducts tests on a sample soil. Her tests show that water flows through the soil easily and that the soil does not hold much water. How would this soil sample be described? high porosity and high permeability high porosity and low permeability low porosity and high permeability low porosity and low permeability @Data_LG2 and @EclipsedStar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it B? @EclipsedStar @Data_LG2

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Porosity is a measure of how much of a rock is open space. This space can be between grains or within cracks or cavities of the rock. Permeability is a measure of the ease with which a fluid (water in this case) can move through a porous rock....so which makes the most sense? :D

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

In my opinion, I think B in this case is incorrect/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm I am gonna check twice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Double checking is always great :D

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Yup! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm looking at others answers. 2 people said it's D... Ugh! Idk

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

I agree with D... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's either B or D...;-;

OpenStudy (anonymous):
