MIT 18.01 Single Variable Calculus (OCW) 7 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm trying to figure out what problems are assigned. I purchased the 2nd edition of Calc with Analytic Geometry but have no idea what is meant by work 1C-3abe, 4ab....as this notation does not correspond with the text. I am also not able to locate any exercises on the Notes or even locate "Notes G". Please explain how to interpret the Problem Set 1 sheet.

I would use 18.01SC (SC indicates it is designed for self-study) http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-01sc-single-variable-calculus-fall-2010/1.-differentiation/ The problem sets are listed as a link at the bottom of each part: Part A, Part B, etc For example, problem set 1 is at http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-01sc-single-variable-calculus-fall-2010/1.-differentiation/part-a-definition-and-basic-rules/problem-set-1/ and the pdf file http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-01sc-single-variable-calculus-fall-2010/1.-differentiation/part-a-definition-and-basic-rules/problem-set-1/MIT18_01SC_pset1prb.pdf contains a large number of problems, of which you are asked to do a subset ... though feel free to do more.
