Help w. 4 questions please. Giving fan and medal for the person who does this. Thank you!!! Create the price function for Stock D. It should have the second lowest starting price and the second highest rate of growth. Using complete sentences, justify that your function meets these requirements. Graph the price function for Stock D. Explain the key features of the graph with complete sentences. A recent drop in sales has affected Stock D with the function g(x) = –6. Explain to Gordon how Stock D’s new price function, f(x) + g(x), will be created. Graph f(x) + g(x). Gordon wants to fully un

variable x represents days

Stock A B C Price f(x) = 25(1.08)x x f(x) 0 22.00 1 21.56 2 21.13 The initial price of this stock is $30, but it has been increasing 4% each day.

to answer Create the price function for Stock D. It should have the second lowest starting price and the second highest rate of growth. you need 1) list of the starting prices for A, B and C. Can you do that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no srry @phi

OpenStudy (phi):

can you list any of the start prices ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait is it this f(x)=26(1.3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

initial prices are 25-30 26 right

OpenStudy (phi):

I can't tell from your post which is A B or C but they tell us "The initial price of this stock is $30", so one starts at 30 one starts at 25 (use x=0 in 25 * 1.08^x ) and in the table, the first entry (for x=0) is 22

OpenStudy (phi):

Ok, the picture you posted makes it clear.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i think get it the only thing i need help w. now is the last choice i need help w. making the graph :) @phi

OpenStudy (phi):

so far you know the start numbers are A 25 B 22 C 30 you need to pick a "second lowest" start for D. what number did you pick ?

OpenStudy (phi):

lowest is 22 for B second lowest will be bigger than 22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

26

OpenStudy (phi):

if you pick 26, then the numbers will be B 22 A 25 D 26 C 30 A will be second lowest.

OpenStudy (phi):

so you should pick a different number. 26 is too big
