How do I end this story?

Listen to what happened to my friend John. Last Friday he played a basketball game in school against the best team in the league. When he received the ball, he slipped and hit her (the team mate) on the nose. He fell to the ground and peers gathered to see what happened. The coach saw the blood on his nose and said: "Call 911!"

The ambulance arrived and John did not want to go ...

How does the story end?

This is actually a Spanish assignment, but I translated it. I have no problem translating anything that you help me with. I just have literally no idea how to end this story. I mean seriously, what could happen? O.o

John ends up not going. But when his friend returns she is upset and ignores him. When he did apologize though she forgives him.

The ambulance arrived and John did not want to go; however, the coach told john he did not have a choice and made John get into the ambulance. Once the ambulance arrived at the hospital, John was brought into surgery where the surgeon had to repair his shattered nose and deviated septum. The surgery went well, except that John now had a white bandage over his nose and two black eyes! He though he was going to be teased at school, but much to his surprise, everyone was concerned for him and asked how he was doing. On his way to Spanish class, a pretty young girl, Lorraine, approached John and asked him if he needed any help carrying his books. John happily accepted her help. Two years later, John and Lorraine are still dating, and John still says braking his nose was the best thing that ever happened to him!
