OpenStudy (133):

If y − 4 = 2x, which of the following sets represents possible inputs and outputs of the function, represented as ordered pairs? {(2, 1), (4, 2), (6, 3)} {(1, 2), (2, 4), (3, 6)} {(4, 0), (6, 1), (8, 2)} {(0, 4), (1, 6), (2, 8)}

you have to try substituting each point into the given equation. If a set of points satisfy the equation, then that will be the answer.

OpenStudy (133):

So it's the first one??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example let's try doing the 1st set {(2, 1), (4, 2), (6, 3)} ( 2 , 1) sub this into the equation: 1− 4 = 2(2) -3 = 4 are they equal ? no, so this set is not the right one (Choice A is eliminated) You can move on to the second choice : {(1, 2), (2, 4), (3, 6)} try substituting some points and tell if all the points satisfy the equation like I did above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dude that cool

OpenStudy (133):

Oh it's C!!! Thanks!!!!
