OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

what do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that even posible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question isAre a rational expression and its simplified forms equivalent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the text book answer is no, but iwould like to see an example

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well let us take a look at one \(\bf \cfrac{x(x+1)}{x}\implies ?\) what would that SIMPLIFY to?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

or.. lemme make it \(\bf y=\cfrac{x(x+1)}{x}\implies ?\)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so... what would the right-hand-side give as a simplified version?
