$$9x2 - 36x + 36 = 0$$ factor out the $9$ first

you get 
$$9(x^2-4x+4)=0$$ divide by 9 and have 
$$x^2-4x+4=0$$ which factors as a prefect square 
$$(x-2)^2=0$$ making $x=2$
