Proportionality questions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It appears to be 6, but the triangle looks to be slightly sloped to the right, so the angle we're trying to find might be 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not asking you to find an angle, its asking you do find a side length

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I saw that afterwards. Just when I was typing this, I said angle cause I was typing fast.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you see there are two similar triangle, tell me the ratio equation that you came up with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think we do: \(\dfrac{3}{6} = \dfrac{4}{x}\) But I could be wrong.. cross multiply and solve for 'x'.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen. that's 6 x 4 / 3 right? If so, it's 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep, you got it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

However, I'm not 100% positive that's how we set it up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tell me if it's correct or not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It was indeed. Thank you.
