Actually I think we have to set up a proportion. \(\dfrac{16}{12} = \dfrac{x - 1}{6}\) Cross multiply and solve for 'x': 12x - 12 = 96 Add 12 to both sides: 12x = 108 Can you divide 108 / 12? @bethanyvengen
