Does anyone know why people chose 3.14 as pi?

What exactly do you mean?

Thank you, and what I'm asking is like, why just 3.14 and not 10.72? Or something else

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pi is the ratio of circumference to diameter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if you were to use any other number besides the value of pi (3.14159...) you would not get the correct circumference of your circle. Does this make sense @Vanquish ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that does make sense, thank you very much! @HailKK
