Use substitution. y=4x+5 2x+y=17

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Hello, welcome to Openstudy :3 Okay, so what you want to do is lug that equation of "y=" into y from the second equation, like so: \(\Large 2x+(4x+5)=17\) Now just solve for x. Once you have x, just plug that x value into any equation and it'll give you the y. Hope that helps ~
