How would the plants in a specific environment be impacted if there was a sudden drop in the amount of bacteria present in that area?

your title says your a genuis are you sure you cant help?
Interesting question, I'm not really the best at this subject, maybe @Abhisar could help you, but depending on the type of bacteria (there's good and bad) the plants would either flourish if the harmful bacteria dies off, and would die if the good bacteria dies off.
Titles don't really mean anything
yeah ik but.. ok
its focusing on the good bacteria
So the plants will probably die then
hmm...
Try doing some research, interesting question :)
ok :} thanks anyways.
When bacteria decompose, they leave behind nutrients. These nutrients then filter into the soil, which then filters into the roots of the plant via the water that it sucks up. A loss in certain nutrients could be the death of this plant.
Np!
Ah see, black agrees!
alright thanks black
np xD
Depends on what kind of bacteria there are bacterias that help plants to absorb essential nutrients for their living (because its hard for plant root itself to pick it up so these bacterias live in nodules of plant roots and absorb the nutrients from soil and in turn pass it to plant while plant gives it a habitat/home and food= pretty much good symbiotic relationship where both benefit from each other) next there are decomposing group of bascterias these ones decompose dead matter to its simplest form making all nutrients from that matter available (meaning breaking them down to the form that can be taken up by plants) for plant uptake next there are nitrogen fixing bacterias now this group uses atmospheric nitrogen and converts it the form that again can be taken up by plant (because nitrogen is one of the important nutrient required by plants for healthy growth) so now think if any of this group or all were to be gone how would it effect the plant cell?
