Which is the independent variable... ie. the x in a function y(x)

OpenStudy (danjs):

b, because the buns can't be negative

OpenStudy (danjs):

THe buns are the range of the function. The number of boxes is the domain set for the function. the number of buns depends on the number of boxes packed.

OpenStudy (danjs):

In the real world, what are the possible values for number of boxes?

OpenStudy (danjs):

Can they pack fractions of a box? or must the boxes be integers?

OpenStudy (danjs):

Of course you can't have negative boxes , so it will be greater than or equal to zero, but should # boxes also be integer values?
